In 2025, the street food landscape continues to thrive, blending traditional recipes with modern twists. Here’s a guide to the must-try street foods across India, with a spotlight on Delhi’s iconic markets where these delicacies shine.

Garadu

Garadu is Indore’s version of Aloo Chat, but it is made from yam. Garadu is a variety of yam that is diced, cooked, and fried to golden perfection. It is then sprinkled with a special spice blend and a generous amount of lemon juice.

Crispy, spicy, and crunchy, it makes for a perfect evening snack.

Sabudana Khichdi

In Indore, fasting food like sabudana khichdi is transformed into yummy street food. That is the magic of Indore where run-of-the-mill dishes turn delightful with a little spice and innovation.

A good helping of sabudana khichdi garnished with lemon and coriander and topped with farsan and chips makes for a very filling snack. Do try this Indori version for a one of its kind experience.
