The letter delivered to federal Judge Lewis Kaplan, a stipulation of dismissal of the action will be filed within 30 days. The sum is currently undisclosed.

“Prince Andrew intends to make a substantial donation to Ms. Giuffre’s charity in support of victims’ rights. Prince Andrew has never intended to malign Ms. Giuffre’s character, and he accepts that she has suffered both as an established victim of abuse and as a result of unfair public attacks.”

The civil complaint arose from the extensive and frightening charges leveled against Jeffrey Epstein. He was a wealthy sex offender who met a number of important individuals despite a shady past.

“It is known that Jeffrey Epstein trafficked countless young girls over many years,” the letter continues. “Prince Andrew regrets his association with Epstein and commends the bravery of Ms. Giuffre and other survivors in standing up for themselves and others. He pledges to demonstrate his regret for his association with Epstein by supporting the fight against the evils of sex trafficking, and by supporting its victims.”

Giuffre said in her complaint that Epstein trafficked her and forced her to have intercourse with his associates. This is including Prince Andrew, despite the fact that Andrew was aware she was under the age of consent in the US. She claims Andrew sexually molested her on Epstein’s private island in the US Virgin Islands, at his Manhattan house, and at the home of his former lover Ghislaine Maxwell in London.

The prince, officially known as the Duke of York, has categorically refuted the allegations of abuse.

A recent ruling made by Judge Lewis Kaplan in New York denied the prince’s motion to dismiss the case. The Duke’s defense team sighted a settlement signed by Jefferey Epstein and Virginia Giuffre. The judge sighted that both parties have valid arguments on the settlement. This was not enough to throw the case as the Judge also said that there are enough grounds for the case to push through. He also advised both parties to present their witnesses by July 14^th.

Currently, the Duke’s defense lawyers have listed that besides Dr. Lightfoot, they would also call Giuffre and her husband to the stand. On the other side, they are requesting the Duke’s former assistant as a witness.

They want to question Giuffre’s husband on their finances when they met as well as the prescriptions and notes of Dr. Lightfoot during their therapy.

This is the most recent statement that Prince Andrew has released following an announcement by Buckingham Palace regarding his titles and charities. The Prince was recently stripped of his “His Royal Highness” professional capacity, military titles, and charities. The palace also stated that he [Prince Andrew] will be facing the trial as a private citizen.

The response came in light of the charges brought about by Virginia Giuffre. The sexual abuse allegations were against Prince Andrew. The Duke of York continues to deny allegations and his defense team plans to appeal the decision of Judge Kaplan.

The Buckingham Palace’s response was swift. There were many groups that sent letters to condemn the Prince’s actions. Anong the letters were a request signed by 150 Royal Navy, RAF, and Army veterans asking the Queen to strip Prince Andrew of his eight British military titles.

• Colonel-in-chief of The Royal Lancers (Queen Elizabeth’s Own)
• Royal colonel of the Royal Regiment of Scotland.
• Colonel-in-chief of the Yorkshire Regiment
• Colonel-in-chief of the Small Arms School Corps

The prince denied the claim saying he was not even in the United States on the alleged days. When pressed further his lawyers claimed that the prince was not able to identify witnesses to support the claim. His lawyers also argue that a deal was signed in 2009 that no charges will be filed after a settlement was paid.  Judge Lewis A Kaplan of the United States District Court for the Southern District of New York ruled that the settlement was “ambiguous”. The prince’s name was not specifically stated in the agreement.

Buckingham Palace refused to comment on the matter. The palace released a statement saying “We would not comment on what is an ongoing legal matter.”

The lawsuit filed by Guiffre specifically identifies incidents occurring at Jeffry Epstein’s private island in US Virgin Islands, his mansion in Manhattan, and Ghislaine Maxwell’s residence in London. She stated the prince has assaulted her on these locations back in 2001.

The trial could proceed between September to December of 2022. This is if settlements are not reached after the depositions. The prince is set to face questions under oath by July 14. His defense lawyers are currently preparing to appeal the ruling of Judge Kaplan.
