190 Countries and Organizations Vowed to Give up Coal

Prime coal users such as Vietnam, Poland and Chile are devoting themselves to swerve from the use of fossil fuel as they made the pledge during the 2021 United Nations Climate Change Conference  according to the UK government.

Coal is the single largest element that promotes climate change.

The United Kingdom had revealed that 190 nations and organisations combined had promised to quit coal although some of the biggest coal-dependent countries including China, Australia, India and the United State have not signed the pledge.

Meanwhile, signatories to the accord have resolved towards ending every investment in  new coal power generation both domestically and internationally.

These countries consented to slowly get rid of coal power within the  2030s for the benefit of crucial economies and within the 2040s for more impoverished nations, as stated by the UK.

Moreover, Secretary Kwasi Kwarteng of State for Business, Energy and Industrial Strategy of the United Kingdom has declared that the end of coal worldwide is in sight.
