World Leaders Vows To Stop Deforestation By 2030

A bunch of world leaders at the 2021 United Nations Climate Change Conference or COP26 will sign the first significant agreement yesterday, November 2, 2021, as they pledged to end deforestation by 2030.

Signatories in the Glasgow summit will include Brazil, where massive portions of the Amazon rainforest have been chopped down.

Felling trees furthers climate change as it reduces forest that sucks up enormous amounts of greenhouse gas C02.

Additional money is also pledged to preserve and restore forests.

Moreover, over 100 countries declare that they will sign the pledge covering approximately 85% of the globe’s forests.
