NV Ramanna becomes Chief Justice of Supreme Court

Senior Supreme Court Justice NV Ramanna became the 48th Chief Justice (CJI) of the country on Saturday i.e. today. President Ramnath Kovind administered the oath of office to Chief Justice to Justice Ramanna at Rashtrapati Bhavan. Justice NV Ramanna was sworn in as the 48th Chief Justice today after Chief Justice SA Bobde retired on April 23.

Justice Ramanna’s term in the Supreme Court is till 26 August 2022, that is, he will hold the post of Chief Justice for less than two years. Please tell that Ramanna will be the first such judge of the Andhra Pradesh High Court, who is becoming the Chief Justice.
