Mondelēz Thailand wins Top Employer Awards 2025

Building an ecosystem to foster a fun, creative culture, Mondelēz Thailand celebrates diversity, and offers benefits that cater to different lifestyles for the new generation

The global snacking company behind leading brands such as Halls, Oreo, Cadbury Dairy Milk and Toblerone, has been certified as a Top Employer for 2025 Asia Pacific and Thailand by the Top Employers Institute. This esteemed recognition underscores Mondelēz International (Thailand)’s commitment to creating a people-first work environment.

Idara Huang, Managing Director at Mondelēz International (Thailand) said, “The Top Employer Awards 2025 is a confirmation that our policies, welfare, corporate culture, and employee relations have been strategically designed and are recognized internationally. Our strengths and differences always start from listening to our employees and observation, for example, our latest policy to expand welfare to include pets, with grooming and insurance reimbursement, came from feedback we received when we organized a café event to which employees could bring their pets. From the event, we realized that ‘family members’ for many people also includes pets and decided that welfare should be extended to support them as well.” Also, Mondelēz continues to focus on equality; same-sex couple benefits were effective immediately following the implementation of the Marriage Equality Act, as the company’s policy uses the word ‘spouse’ without specifying gender. As a result, all rights such as wedding leave, childcare leave, health cards, or other benefits can be used immediately.

At Mondelēz, each year representatives from each department help plan activities throughout the year as part of a team called Smile Club. Activities are not only those that employees truly want to do, but they are also a way to help inter-departmental employees practice project management skills at the corporate level. The ideas are always unique and in trend; whether it’s personal color testing, manicures, massages, sports and esports competitions, or bringing delicious restaurants to serve teams in the office, all activities are designed under the theme ‘The Right You’ – fulfilling physical health (Body), fulfilling mental health (Mind) and building relationships (Connection) – to create a working environment full of positive energy, happiness and cooperation between teams.

In terms of employee development and career growth, Mondelēz uses its My Career Launchpad”  that is systematically structured to provide employees with knowledge about their own career paths, enabling them to develop skills and grow in their professions. This includes both skills learning and skill development through real-world experience. In addition, Mondelēz has a comprehensive learning platform which includes training and knowledge-sharing specific to fields of work, as well as training in leadership skills and team management. Mondelēz’s Match & Grow program enables employees to volunteer and try out projects with teams around the world for a short period of time, opening themselves up to a wider working world and emphasizing the true global organization.

“At Mondelēz Thailand, there are more than 10 nationalities working harmoniously together, demonstrating the organization’s international diversity and reaffirming that working here, employees can grow beyond their country. Our diverse workforce is our strength, driving continuous fun ideas and innovation in the market. We believe it’s essential to always listen, observe, and ensure our ecosystem supports this diversity. Our goal is to create a workplace that’s enjoyable, safe, and open to different ideas. The happiness of our employees behind the scenes ultimately reflects in the products we deliver to our consumers,” added Idara.

In addition to the above policies and benefits, Mondelēz has responded to the lifestyle of its employees by offering a flexible working arrangement – which allows employees to work from home two days a week and within a flexible time frame – and flexible benefits that allow employees to claim for items such as sports equipment, fitness memberships, hotel accommodation, fees for photography and investment courses, or beauty treatments and more.

The Top Employers Institute’s certification process evaluates companies based on a comprehensive survey of HR best practices across six critical domains: people strategy, work environment, talent acquisition, learning, employee wellbeing, and diversity & inclusion.
