Looking for a photo-worthy weekend, a family-friendly day out, or simply a quiet nature walk away from the city rush? Bangkok’s largest public park has just transformed into a colourful winter escape as Suan Luang Rama IX launches its annual “Splendid Flora at Suan Luang Rama IX” Festival 2025, happening from 1–10 December 2025.
Spread across more than 500 rai, the festival brings together winter blooms, immersive garden installations, cultural showcases, and community activities, making it one of Bangkok’s most anticipated outdoor events for travellers and expats during the cool season.
A Garden in Full Bloom

As always, the festival features a wide range of flowers and blooms in every section of Suan Luang Rama IX—showcasing both tropical and winter varieties. A special highlight is the exhibition in remembrance of His Majesty the late King Bhumibol Adulyadej, honouring his lifelong dedication to royally initiated projects across the country.
Six Immersive Themed Zones

This year’s creative installations include diverse themed gardens designed to inspire and delight:
• Japanese Garden
Tranquil pathways, torii gates, wooden bridges, and bamboo lanterns recreate a serene Japanese landscape.
• Garden of Art, Color, and Emotion
A colourful open-air art space spotlighting the “Dok Muang Theparat” sculpture and playful design elements.
• Family Farm Garden
A countryside-inspired area with barns, windmills, haystacks, and vegetable plots—ideal for kids and families.
• Amazon Garden
A lush rainforest-themed zone highlighting tropical biodiversity and shaded nature trails.
• Winter Festival Garden
A festive garden decorated in red, green, and gold with pine trees, seasonal accents, and a miniature train—perfect for holiday-themed photos.
• Edible Ornamental Garden
A creative botanical display where edible plants are arranged as artistic installations.
Special Exhibitions & Encounters
Visitors can explore curated exhibitions including “Ferns and Orchids,” “Tulips Blooming at Suan Luang Rama IX,” and “Save the Bee, Save the World.”
