K-Pop Star Lisa Brings Global Spotlight to Thailand’s Red Lotus Lake

Tourism Authority of Thailand spotlights the Red Lotus Lake in the second chapter of its global “Feel All the Feelings” initiative

Thailand’s tourism storytelling is entering a fresh, emotionally driven chapter as the Tourism Authority of Thailand (TAT) reveals a new campaign visual featuring global K-pop icon Lisa Manobal at Udon Thani’s iconic Red Lotus Lake. The newly released poster marks the second phase of the “Feel All the Feelings” campaign, following its earlier spotlight on Chiang Mai.

By placing Lisa—one of Thailand’s most internationally recognised cultural figures—against the soft pink horizon of the Red Lotus Lake, the campaign positions travel not just as sightseeing, but as an immersive emotional experience. It is part of a broader, year-long collaboration designed to elevate Thailand’s image across global markets and support TAT’s ambitious goal of pushing tourism revenue beyond 3 trillion baht in 2026.

A New Lens on Thai Travel

Rather than focusing solely on landmarks, the campaign emphasises mood, atmosphere, and personal connection. The Red Lotus Lake (Talay Bua Daeng) in Udon Thani becomes more than a destination—it is portrayed as a place to slow down, breathe, and reconnect with nature.

A full campaign video is scheduled to launch on 28 January across official online platforms, promising to further expand this experience-led narrative and introduce Thailand through a more contemporary, lifestyle-focused lens.

Why the Red Lotus Lake Captivates Travellers

Located in northeastern Thailand, the Red Lotus Lake transforms into a vast pink landscape during its blooming season. Visitors glide across calm waters by boat, surrounded by thousands of lotus flowers stretching to the horizon—a scene that has become one of Thailand’s most photogenic natural wonders.

Beyond its visual appeal, the experience offers a sense of calm that resonates with travellers seeking balance, reflection, and moments of quiet beauty—values that align closely with the campaign’s emotional storytelling.

Travel Tips for Visiting the Red Lotus Lake

  • Best season to visit: December to February, when the lotuses are at their peak

  • Ideal time of day: Early morning, between 6:00 a.m. and 11:00 a.m., when the flowers are fully open

  • Experience highlight: A small boat ride through the lake for close-up views and panoramic photo opportunities

  • Who it’s perfect for: Nature lovers, photographers, and travellers looking for a peaceful escape

Thailand, Reimagined

With this latest release, Amazing Thailand continues to reposition the country for a new generation of global travellers—blending pop culture influence, natural beauty, and emotional storytelling. As Lisa’s presence draws international attention, destinations like Udon Thani are stepping into the spotlight, inviting visitors to experience Thailand not just through places, but through feeling.
