Chiang Mai, Thailand — The Consulate General of India in Chiang Mai recently welcomed representatives from the Brahmakumaris Chiang Mai Chapter, marking another step in strengthening cultural and spiritual connections between India and Thailand.

During the meeting, Consul of India Mr. Pranav Ganesh discussed opportunities for collaboration with the Brahmakumaris, a long-established spiritual movement founded in India. Known globally for its teachings on meditation, inner peace, and service to humanity, the Brahmakumaris has been active in Chiang Mai for more than 20 years, promoting community well-being, sustainability, and intercultural harmony.
As part of the engagement, the Consulate presented copies of “TIVA for Better Life” to representatives from both the Brahmakumaris and the Heartfulness Foundation. The publication—released on the occasion of Gandhi Jayanti in partnership with the Thai International Vegetarian Association—highlights the benefits of plant-based living and its role in supporting a healthier, more compassionate lifestyle.
The book compiles insights from advocates and experts, offering perspectives on vegetarianism, veganism, and sustainable choices that enhance daily life.
The Consulate emphasized that both the meeting and the book gifting reflect its ongoing efforts to deepen cultural exchange, foster mutual understanding, and support initiatives that bring communities together across Thailand and India.
