Bangkok, Thailand – The opening event of the upcoming European Heritage Days 2025 took place on 3 September at the Royal Danish Embassy in Bangkok, officially setting the stage for this year’s cultural celebration happening later this month.

As the current holder of the EU Presidency, the Danish Embassy welcomed diplomats, artists, and cultural leaders. The event was organized in collaboration with the French Embassy / Sawasdee France, the Creative Economy Agency (CEA), the Bangkok Metropolitan Administration (BMA), the EU Delegation, and other European partners.

Event Highlights

Opening remarks were delivered by H.E. Danny Annan, Ambassador of Denmark to Thailand, H.E. Jean-Claude Poimboeuf, Ambassador of France to Thailand and Bangkok Governor Chadchart Sittipunt, who emphasized the importance of international cultural collaboration and Bangkok’s role as a creative city.

The event introduced “Krung Thep Creative Streets”, the central program of this year’s Heritage Days, which will take place from 15–21 September 2025. Guests met the European and Thai artists who will participate in the project, with a panel discussion shedding light on their artistic vision and the role of public art in cultural exchange.
