Hindu Swayamsevak Sangh marked its annual Pratipada celebrations and centenary year with the release of the Hindu Panchang calendar. The calendar features illustrations of the Char Dham (the four sacred pilgrimage sites of Sanatan Dharma), Lord Shri Ram Dham, and Ujjain Dham, along with detailed elements of the Sanatan Panchang.
The Hindu New Year calendar is composed of five key components: date, day, constellation, yoga, and karana. The Panchang remains an integral part of Indian culture—serving not only as a system for calculating time, but also as a guide that connects daily life with faith, tradition, and discipline.
The release ceremony took place in a grand and spiritually uplifting atmosphere, in the presence of Swami Vigyanananda, head of the Vishwa Hindu Parishad World Department; Dr. Chaitanya Prakash Yogi; Honorary Sanghchalak Naveen Sharma; and other distinguished members of the community.
This initiative marks the first time the Sangh has undertaken such an effort. More than just a calendar, the Panchang aims to bring Sanatan culture, Indian festivals, sacred symbols, and temple heritage into every home across Bangkok. The organization plans to distribute the Hindu New Year calendar widely, with the support of volunteers as well as social, religious, and cultural groups.
Through this initiative, the Sangh hopes to ensure that future generations remain connected to and guided by Sanatan traditions, observing festivals and important dates in accordance with the traditional calendar.
