Norway Connects Food Supplement Industry to Thai Market at Vitafoods Asia 2025

Bangkok, Thailand – The Royal Norwegian Embassy in Bangkok and the Thai-Norwegian Chamber of Commerce (TNCC) hosted a welcome reception on 16 September 2025 for Norwegian companies taking part in Vitafoods Asia 2025. The event was led by Ambassador Astrid Emilie Helle and brought together business partners and key stakeholders from Thailand’s growing food supplement industry.

Representatives from Thailand’s Food and Drug Administration (FDA) also joined, including Mr. Wattanasak Sornrung, Director of Import and Export Inspection Division, and Ms. Kotchaphon Manoonphol, Deputy Director of Food Division. The FDA gave a presentation on “Understanding Thai Regulations for Food Supplements: From Product Registration to Marketing Compliance,” providing valuable insights into regulatory requirements for entering the Thai market.

On 18 September 2025, Ambassador Helle and TNCC visited Norwegian exhibitors at Vitafoods Asia 2025, held at the Queen Sirikit National Convention Center from 17–19 September. The exhibition is one of Asia’s leading platforms for the nutraceuticals and food supplement industry, with more than 13,000 visitors expected from Thailand and across the region.

Thailand presents strong opportunities for Norwegian companies in the nutrition and biotechnology sector, with growing demand for clean, sustainable, and tech-driven innovation.
