PM Anutin Charnvirakul and Cabinet Sworn In Before Their Majesties

Bangkok, Thailand – Prime Minister Anutin Charnvirakul and his newly appointed cabinet have officially taken the oath of allegiance before His Majesty King Maha Vajiralongkorn and Her Majesty Queen Suthida on 24 September, marking the formal start of the new government.

Before the ceremony, the Prime Minister and ministers participated in a group photo session on the lawn in front of the Thai Khu Fah Building at Government House. The oath-taking was later held at the Amphorn Sathan Residential Hall, Dusit Palace.

During the royal audience, His Majesty the King offered words of encouragement to the new cabinet, saying: “I wish the Prime Minister and all members of the Cabinet a strong spirit, determination and success in carrying out your duties for the country and the people. May you have the wisdom to overcome the challenges that lie ahead and may prosperity and happiness be with you all.” The remarks were reported by Thai PBS World.

The swearing-in ceremony was followed by a special cabinet meeting at Government House, where Prime Minister Anutin Charnvirakul and his ministers formally began preparations to carry out government duties. During the royal audience, Their Majesties granted blessings and guidance to the new ministers, which observers noted as a key symbolic moment in Thailand’s political transition.

The new cabinet lineup, endorsed by His Majesty the King earlier this month, consists of 36 ministers, with key portfolios including Finance, Foreign Affairs, Interior, and Defense. The oath-taking allows the government to move forward with its official responsibilities, including delivering a policy statement to Parliament in the coming days.

This event marks a significant milestone for Thailand, with the Anutin administration now fully authorized to oversee national governance and implement its policy agenda.
