Bangkok, Thailand — As Thailand enters its peak travel season, Thai rap icon MILLI has announced a once-in-a-lifetime Airbnb weekender in her home city of Bangkok, spotlighting two of Thailand’s most powerful soft power exports: T-pop and Thai food amongst a surge in travellers to Thailand on Airbnb. In a true homecoming moment, MILLI is inviting fans into her world with the ultimate Bangkok weekender, inspired by the flavors and neighborhoods that spark her creativity. This launch comes at a time of rising interest in Thailand on Airbnb, with peak-season searches for stays in Thailand up nearly 20% year over year. As searches by Thai Gen Z rise over 25% year on year, the campaign connects with the audience most drawn to the country’s cultural energy.

Hosted by MILLI herself, this one-time Airbnb Experience takes place over a weekend, giving fans an intimate, hands-on look at the flavours, sounds and hidden corners of her Bangkok. Through the immersive weekend, guests will spend the night at MILLI’s favourite Airbnb in Bangkok and dive into her creative world – from a private karaoke session and a mango sticky rice cooking hangout, to discovering her go-to neighbourhood spots and sampling her favourite local dishes, MILLI will share her inspirations and experiences of her hometown giving travellers a fresh, up-close way to connect with Bangkok’s culture, energy and iconic food scene.

“I’m so excited to become a host on Airbnb,” shared MILLI. “Performing across the world has shown me how much people everywhere want to connect with Thai culture, and this is a chance to share that up close.
“My guests will not only sing karaoke and make my favorite mango sticky rice with me, but I’ll also be sharing my hottest tips for enjoying Bangkok like a true local. From singing karaoke together to enjoying my favorite dishes, I can’t wait to give travelers a taste of what inspires me and what makes Thailand so special.”
Building on MILLI’s local and global influence, this collaboration celebrates Thailand’s vibrant creative spirit. It gives travelers a direct connection to modern Thai culture – from music and food to fashion and youth identity.
“Thailand has long inspired travelers with its warmth, creativity and culture. With MILLI at the forefront of a bold new wave of Thai music and style, we’re excited to offer fans and visitors a fresh way to experience this energy up close”, said Amanpreet Bajaj, Airbnb’s Country Head for Southeast Asia and India. “This collaboration is about more than an experience; it opens the door to Thailand’s modern culture, and we’re proud to showcase the country’s uniqueness and creativity to a global audience”

Aligning with the Tourism Authority of Thailand’s 5 Must Do strategy, comprising Must Taste, Must Try, Must Buy, Must See, and Must Seek, which encourages travelers to experience Thailand in meaningful ways, Mr. Nithee Seeprae, Deputy Governor for Marketing Communications, Tourism Authority of Thailand, said, “As Thailand prepares to welcome millions of visitors during the high season, this collaboration with Airbnb and MILLI brings our 5 Must Do strategy to life through two of Thailand’s most iconic soft powers – food that is a must taste and music that is a must see. This experience showcases the creativity, warmth, and cultural richness that define Thailand. Beyond entertainment, these moments offer a healing journey that uplifts and refreshes the spirit, inspiring travelers to connect deeply with our culture and discover what makes Thailand truly unforgettable.”
