Bangkok, Thailand – Ms. Pinsuda Jayanama, Director-General of the Department of International Organizations, welcomed H.E. Ms. Alona Fisher-Kamm, the newly appointed Ambassador of the State of Israel to Thailand, for a courtesy call at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs on 14 January 2026.
The meeting marked the Ambassador’s official assumption of duty and provided an opportunity for both sides to highlight the strong and growing relationship between Thailand and Israel, built over more than seven decades. Discussions covered collaboration within the bilateral framework, as well as in international organizations such as the United Nations and the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA).
During the dialogue, both officials exchanged perspectives on current events in the Middle East, including developments in Gaza and Iran. Ambassador Fisher-Kamm also conveyed Israel’s condolences over the recent tragic crane collapse that struck a passenger train in Sikhio District, Nakhon Ratchasima Province on the same day.
