Thailand’s Best Celebration of Comics Art Returns for a Fourth Year

Bangkok, Thailand – The BKK Comics Art Festival #4 is back this October at the Bangkok Art & Culture Centre (BACC), presented by bkk UNZINE in collaboration with its organizing partner Children of the Forest (CoF) Foundation). The 2025 edition is supported by Clip Studio Paint as principal sponsor, with additional sponsorship from The Japan Foundation and the Embassy of Belgium in Thailand. Together, these partners bring to life Thailand’s only art-forward celebration of comics—an annual event that shines a spotlight on the storytelling power of the medium.

Since its debut in 2022, the BKK Comics Art Festival has stood apart from commercial comic conventions by focusing on the artistry of comics rather than merchandising. This year’s theme, “Storytelling,” highlights how local and international creators use visuals and narrative to craft powerful tales, whether with words or purely through art.

Festival Highlights

  • Gallery Exhibition (October 14 onward) – Opening on BACC’s 5th floor, the curated show features classic and contemporary comics art from around the world.

  • Convention Weekend (October 25–26) – A lively program of panels, workshops, and activities for fans and families, showcasing the diversity of comics storytelling.
