VHP Association Thailand Celebrates Hindu Navavarsha

The Vishwa Hindu Parishad Association Thailand successfully celebrated the auspicious occasion of Hindu Navavarsha at Saraff Sadan, Bangkok, with great enthusiasm and spiritual fervor. The event witnessed an impressive gathering of over 200 attendees, representing diverse sections of society, coming together in a spirit of unity, culture, and shared heritage.

The event commenced on a deeply spiritual note with Shankhanaad (the sacred sound of the conch shell) and Pradeep Prajjwalan (ceremonial lighting of the lamp), symbolizing the invocation of positive energy and the triumph of light over darkness.

The highlight of the evening was an enlightening discourse by Swami Vigyananand Ji, Joint General Secretary of VHP Bharat, an alumnus of IIT Kharagpur, and Founder of the World Hindu Foundation. Speaking on his widely discussed book “Hindu, Hindutva and the Hindu Manifesto”, Swamiji articulated a powerful vision of Hindu identity rooted in inclusivity, cultural confidence, and global unity. His address resonated deeply with the audience, emphasizing the importance of collective consciousness, preservation of dharmic values, and the need to unite Hindus across geographies for a shared purpose.

The event was graced by several distinguished dignitaries, including Dr. Teerakiat Jareonsettasin, MD, President of Thai Bharat Cultural Lodge and Former Minister of Education, Royal Government of Thailand; Assistant Professor Damrongphon Inchan from Silpakorn University; Ms. Jagpreet Kaur, First Secretary (Commerce & Economics), Embassy of Bharat; and Dr. Chaitanya Prakash Yogi, Director of SVCC. Trustees, patrons, executive committee members of VHP, and leaders of various associations also marked their presence, making the gathering truly prestigious and inclusive.

The evening fostered meaningful dialogue and reflection, as attendees engaged in interactive discussions with Swamiji, gaining deeper insights into the philosophical and practical aspects of Hindu unity in today’s global context.

The celebration concluded on a warm and harmonious note with a traditional saatvik dinner reinforcing the spirit of togetherness and community bonding.

This event was not just a celebration of the New Year, but a reaffirmation of shared values, cultural pride, and a collective commitment towards strengthening the global Hindu community.
