Wellness in Motion: 200th Yoga Session & Countdown to IDY 2025 in Bangkok

Bangkok, Thailand – In a serene and spirited celebration of wellness, the Swami Vivekananda Cultural Centre (SVCC), Embassy of India, Bangkok, in association with Vishwa Hindu Parishad Thailand, marked a milestone 200th live yoga session and kicked off the countdown to International Day of Yoga 2025 with an invigorating yoga event on Sunday, May 25 at Saraff Sadan.

The morning unfolded with calm energy and collective enthusiasm as over 50 participants from diverse nationalities gathered for a powerful two-hour session. The event was led by internationally certified yoga educator Mr. Sanjiv Chaturvedi, who guided attendees through yoga practices designed to address a range of modern health challenges—cardiac arrest, brain stroke, diabetes, neck and back pain, and women’s health issues.

Participants were also given the unique opportunity to receive personalized yoga routines, tailored to their specific health and lifestyle needs—a thoughtful touch that brought an added layer of value to the experience.

Adding depth to the physical practice were two insightful talks by prominent health experts.
Dr. Philip Lun Kee Chia delivered a compelling session on “Detox to Cure Disease,” unpacking the powerful role of detoxification in disease prevention and holistic healing. Following this, Dr. Thanikarn Supanich, a gut health specialist, shared her expertise on “Gut Health” and its vital impact on overall wellness, immunity, and mental clarity.

The event was graced by Mr. R. Muthu, Counsellor (Personnel) at the Embassy of India, Bangkok, and Dr. Chaitanya Prakash Yogi, Director of SVCC Bangkok, both of whom commended the initiative’s role in fostering cultural and wellness-based diplomacy.

To round off the morning, participants mingled over healthy refreshments and received exclusive discount vouchers as a token of appreciation.

With this energizing event, the countdown to International Day of Yoga 2025 has officially begun—setting a positive, mindful tone for what promises to be a global celebration of inner harmony and holistic health.
