Austria Imposes lockdown for the Unvaccinated People

The Republic of Austria has put approximately 2 million people who have not been fully vaccinated against the coronavirus disease 2019, as the country also encounters another surge of the viral disease infections. According to Chancellor Alexander Scallenberg, the country will be strict on the present Covid-19 measures (lockdown), since it is necessary, in which unvaccinated people will now only be allowed to leave their homes for restricted grounds, including going to their jobs or buying food.

The country had to date fully vaccinated about 65% of its general population, which is one of the lowest rates in western Europe. Relatively, the 1 week infection rate of the country is over 800 out of the100,000 people, which is one of the highest in the Europe continent. Generally, the Europe continent has once again become the place who had been most affected by the Covid-19 pandemic and some countries are launching containment measures and cautioning their people about the increasing cases.

Despite of this, the United Kingdom which is one the world’s highestCovid-19 infection rates, had not yet introduced restrictions in spite of health leaders’ urging the country to implement again rules such as the wearing of facemasks within crowded and confined areas so the country would avoid a winter setback.
