The festival of Vijay Dashami, a symbol of good over evil, was celebrated with pomp in Thailand. During this, weapon worship was also done. Weapons are worshiped on the day of Dussehra so that they do not harm them and do not walk on the wrong person.
In view of Corona, a virtual festival was organized by the Hindu Swayamsevak Sangh in Thailand. In this event, 45 volunteers from 7 branches and 1 maid sister performed intellectual and physical performance. 63 volunteers who did not participate in other religious, cultural programs were associated with social and political platforms.
The ceremony was concluded by praying for the Swayamsevak Sangh. The program was a success and gave a message of positivity towards the Sangh in society.
Importance of Vijay Dashami
Lord Shri Ram killed Ravana, the king of Lanka, who abducted Mother Sita, on Ashwin Shukla Dashami. According to mythology, Ravana was killed on Dashami after a fierce battle and Sri Rama conquered Lanka, hence this day is celebrated as Vijayadashami or Dussehra.
At the same time, Maa Durga fought a fierce battle with Mahishasura for 10 days and killed her on Ashwin Shukla Dashami. Because of this also, that day was celebrated as Vijayadashami. Both these events symbolize the victory of good over evil and religion over unrighteousness.
