The Government of Israel has proceeded on its plans for beyond 3,100 new homes in Israeli settlements within the uninhabited West Bank.
A planning committee had provided its ultimate authorization for 1,800 housing units and initial permission for 1,344 more homes.
The declaration was issued after the United States Joe Biden administration’s public reprimand towards Israeli policy in which it cautioned Israel that it is firmly against the enlargement of settlements because it harms hopes for peace between Israel and Palestinians.
Relatively, over 600,000 jews are residing in 145 settlements constructed since Israel’s occupation of the West Bank and East Jerusalem in the Middle East War which took place in 1967 and most of the International community deems the settlements as illegal according to the international laws although Israel challenges it.
