Due to the Omicron variant of Corona, there is an atmosphere of panic all over the world. Meanwhile, Israel has included many more countries in the Red List. Along with this, there has been an in-depth discussion about the travel of the citizens of our country to America. Israel’s Health Ministry has also recommended a ban on Israel’s travel to the United States. Israel has added several European countries to its Covid Red List to prevent the spread of Omicron variants.
Israeli Prime Minister Naftali Bennett said after a cabinet meeting that the Omicron variant is spreading rapidly. In such a situation, the travel ban will be further tightened. Prime Minister Bennett said he would continue to restrict travel to avoid further lockdowns. He said that soon after the Omicron variant was detected in South Africa last month, Israel took a major decision to curb travel to prevent the spread of the variant to some extent.
Israel has approved an earlier recommendation by the Ministry of Health to bar citizens and residents of the country from traveling to France, Ireland, Norway, Spain, Finland, Sweden and the United Arab Emirates. Britain and Denmark were already included in the Covid Red List. Apart from America, the Health Ministry has recommended red listing Canada, Belgium, Italy, Germany, Hungary, Morocco, Portugal, Switzerland and Turkey.
Israeli citizens and residents who are already abroad are being quarantined for a week after returning home. Non-resident foreigners from all countries are being barred from entering unless they have special permission. Simultaneously, Prime Minister Naftali Bennett called on Israelis to work from home and encouraged parents to vaccinate their children.
