Amidst the decline in the figures of corona infection in Himachal Pradesh, the government has unlocked. After which there is a huge increase in the number of tourists in Himachal. Corona protocol is also being violated fiercely in the crowd (Covid Rules Violation by Tourist). After which now the administration has increased strictness with awareness. Now those who do not apply masks in Manali will also be fined.
After the relaxation of corona restrictions by the state government, a huge crowd of tourists is gathering in Manali. Due to which the Kullu district administration has started a corona awareness campaign. About 6-7 lakh tourists have come to the state since June. An ANI report said that as the COVID-19 situation in the state started improving, tourists started visiting Shimla, Manali, Dharamsala, Dalhousie, Narkanda and other parts of the state.
SP Kullu Gurudev Sharma said that we have started this campaign to make the tourists aware of the corona rules. At the same time, those who do not wear masks can be fined Rs 5,000 or jailed for 8 days. Sharma further said, the police have registered more than 300 challans and recovered Rs 3 lakh in the last 7-8 days. On the other hand, Shimla District Tourism and Development Officer GD Kalta said that after the lifting of the ban in the month of June itself, about 87 thousand tourists had stayed in hotels and other residential facilities in Shimla district. The Himachal Pradesh state government on June 22 had announced several relaxations to enter the state.
A day earlier, Prime Minister Narendra Modi had expressed concern over scenes involving crowded places, people walking without masks or violating social distance. He said that India’s fight against Kovid is going on in full swing, there should be no room for negligence or lack in it. Referring to photos and videos of crowded places, PM Modi said that this is not a good sight and it should cause a ‘feeling of fear’ within us.
PM Modi told the ministers that instilling fear among the people should not be the goal but urging the public to take all kinds of precautions so that the nation can overcome the crisis of this epidemic in the coming times.
