MFA Thailand Partners with APCD Asia Pacific to Open Inclusive Coffee Shop

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MFA) Thailand has joined hands with the Asia Pacific Development Center on Disability (APCD) to establish a unique coffee shop at the MFA premises. What sets this establishment apart is its commitment to being operated exclusively by professionally trained individuals with disabilities.

This initiative is in full alignment with the ‘Leave No One Behind’ policy and the principles laid out in the UN Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities. The partnership aims to provide equal opportunities for individuals with disabilities, fostering a supportive environment that empowers them in the workforce.

The anticipated opening date for this inclusive coffee shop is scheduled for January 24, 2024. The project underscores Thailand’s dedication to promoting diversity and ensuring that all members of society have the chance to actively participate in economic activities.
