Officials said that if anyone now violates the travel rules, then legal action will be taken against him.

“Whoever indulges in this will be subject to legal liability and heavy penalties on return and a travel ban for three years,” the official said. Saudi Arabia has banned travel in several countries including Afghanistan, Argentina, Brazil, Egypt, Ethiopia, India, Indonesia, Lebanon, Pakistan, South Africa, Turkey, Vietnam and the United Arab Emirates.

“The Interior Ministry emphasizes that citizens are still prohibited from traveling directly to or from any other country in these countries or any other country that has not yet controlled the pandemic or where there is a new epidemic,” the official said.
