Shardiya Navratri Festival at Vishnu Temple

The Hindu Dharma Sabha – Vishnu Temple is presently celebrating the grand Shardiya Navratri festival and Satchandi Mahayagya, which began on October 15th and will continue until October 24th, 2023. This event is a beautiful amalgamation of tradition, devotion, and music, creating a deeply spiritual experience.

The festival, which marks the victory of good over evil and spans nine nights and ten days, showcases exquisite idols of Goddess Bhagwati, handcrafted by skilled Indian artisans. These idols symbolize both the goddess’s divine presence and the rich artistic heritage of India. Immersing these idols follows sacred customs, adding to the event’s sanctity.

Renowned Indian singers are enchanting the attendees with divine and soulful bhajans (devotional songs) each evening, creating an atmosphere of serenity and devotion.

On the first day of the festival, which was on October 15, the program included rituals like Ganpati Pujan, Kalash Sthapna, Peeth Pujan, and the recitation of the Shri Durga Saptsati. The day concluded with aarti and a mesmerizing bhajan performance by Indian singers.

As the Shardiya Navratri festival unfolds, it offers an opportunity for all to celebrate faith, culture, and devotion. It’s a time to immerse in the divine presence of Goddess Bhagwati, and to experience the power of devotion through music, rituals, and traditions.

May this ongoing festival bring peace, unity, and spiritual growth to all those participating.
