Taliban Declares Degrees Acquired in Last 20 Years ‘Worthless’

The decree issued by the Taliban said that the degree achieved in Afghanistan from high school to graduation during the last twenty years is of no importance. According to reports published in the local media, the Taliban have made it clear that the degree from 2000 to 2020 is invalid.

The Taliban’s acting minister of higher education, Abdul Baqi Haqqani, announced this during a meeting with university professors in the Afghan capital Kabul. He made it clear that the degrees he graduated from high schools in the last twenty years are of no use.

Higher Education Minister refers to graduates who have achieved during the non-Talibani government. Education Minister Haqqani made it clear that anyone who took a degree while he was fighting the US-backed governments of Hamid Karzai and Ashraf Ghani was “useless”.
