History
Wonderfruit, an annual celebration of art, culture, music, and nature, unfolds its magic at The Fields at Siam Country Club, just outside Pattaya in Chonburi Province, Thailand. This extraordinary event, initiated in December 2014 by Thai-based production company Scratch First, has evolved into a multi-day extravaganza, offering a diverse range of experiences.
The brainchild of founder Pranitan “Pete” Phornprapha and co-founder Montonn “Jay” Jira, Wonderfruit was conceived to introduce the festival experience to Thailand with a unique emphasis on arts and awareness. Pete, inspired by the environmental initiatives of his father’s organization, Think Earth, sought to merge entertainment with social responsibility, addressing environmental challenges in a contemporary and engaging manner.
Pillars of Wonder
Wonderfruit’s essence is encapsulated in its pillars, which have evolved over the years to reflect the festival’s diverse offerings. Initially structured around six pillars in 2014 and 2015, including Arts, Music, Farm to Feasts, Health & Wellness, Talks & Workshops, and Natural Adventures, the festival refined its focus in subsequent years. In 2018, the pillars transformed into Music, Art & Architecture, Family, Farm to Feasts, Talks & Workshops, and Wellness.
Wonder, a continuous relationship between minds and the world, serves as the foundation for the festival’s growth. It is a fundamental element that enriches the human experience through culture, purposeful collaborations, and the exploration of new understandings that contribute meaningfully to our lives.
Vision and Connection
Wonderfruit’s vision is to cultivate a space for creators, partners, and the community to deepen the connection between the mind and nature. The festival seeks to foster growth through the exploration of this symbiotic relationship, promoting realizations that span the mental, physical, and spiritual realms.
The Fields, Wonderfruit’s home, is a vibrant space where self-expression flourishes, and connections are forged with nature and fellow Wonderers. The festival extends beyond its temporal boundaries, creating ongoing journeys throughout the year in collaboration with its ecosystem of partners.

The Journey Ahead
In 2022, Wonderfruit welcomed approximately 25,000 attendees. As the journey continues into 2023, the festival anticipates a slight increase, reaching up to 28,000 Wonderers. The primary focus remains on ensuring the well-being of all participants, surpassing their expectations, and delivering an experience that transcends desires. The festival’s commitment includes meticulous organizational planning, optimized workforce management, and a dedication to creating an environment where Wonder truly flourishes.
