Chatuchak Market to open with restrictions

As a measure to ease down the restrictions due to Covid situation and to boost the local economy, The Bangkok Metropolitan Administration (BMA) has decided to allow merchants of the Chatuchak to open their shops on weekdays, except Monday. Monday has been spared for cleaning and sanitization processes. BMA’s deputy secretary Wanlaya Wattanarat informed about this development.
In addition to this, BMA is set to attract customers via several activities like free gifts, discounts and contests, so as to increase footfall in the market. The BMA also urged over 10,000 merchants in 31 zones of the market to send one representatives from each zone to participate in meetings with the BMA so as to get rid of any possible future problems.
