Pattaya – On 1st March 2022 Celebration of the Hindu Religious festival Mahashivratri has been celebrated by Indian Community at Shiv Mandir in Pattaya. On this auspicious day, followers and devotees of Lord Shiva observe fast and special pujas are performed in several temples across the world.
On Mahashivratri, devotees observe a day-long fast and seek blessings. All devotees pray from the morning in the temple. In the daytime, there was a huge roadshow at the Main Pattaya Beach Road, Beach Road & Sukhumvit road.
In the evening prayers, Thai Thailand’s Deputy cultural Minister Khun Paramase Ngampiches also joined the event and artists also performed a cultural show. The temple officials made elaborate arrangements to ensure hassle-free darshan of the presiding deity.
Maha Shivratri is a Hindu festival celebrated annually in honor of the god Shiva. The name also refers to the night when Lord Shiva performs the heavenly dance called Tandava.
It is a major festival in Hinduism, and this festival is solemn and marks a remembrance of “overcoming darkness and ignorance” in life and the world. It is observed by remembering Lord Shiva and chanting prayers, fasting, and meditating on ethics and virtues such as honesty, non-injury to others, charity, forgiveness, and the discovery of Lord Shiva.
