Pappu Yadav sent to jail for 14 days judicial custody

Pappu Yadav, the head of the Jan Adhikar Party in Bihar and former MP, has been sent to Supaul jail for 14 days in judicial custody. Earlier, after his arrest on Tuesday, he was taken to Madhepura following heavy protests by Pappu Yadav’s supporters.

Madhepura court staff reached his office from where Pappu was produced through video conferencing. During his appearance, Pappu also referred to his illness in front of the court to demand better health facilities.

His supporters and party workers created a ruckus in protest against the arrest of Pappu Yadav. The police was taking Pappu Yadav from the Gandhi Maidan police station to Madhepura. A large number of party workers lay on the road and stopped the police vehicles and created a ruckus.

Explain that on Tuesday, the police arrested Pappu Yadav, ignoring the rules of lockdown.
