Report: Chinese Researchers Find Batch of New Coronaviruses In Bats

China is already under suspicion about the origin of the corona virus. Almost all the countries of the world have started raising the demand for investigation once again regarding Corona. Meanwhile, Chinese researchers have made another disclosure. Chinese researchers have made a big claim amid the demand for a fresh investigation in relation to the origin of Covid-19. He has talked about detecting the batch of new corona virus in bats. According to a CNN report, the new corona virus found in bats includes a virus that may be genetically the second closest to Covid-19. He says that the discovery in the south-west of China only shows how many types of corona virus are in bats and how many people have the potential to spread.

In a report published in the journal Cell, researchers from Shandang University said, “411 samples were collected for research from 23 species of bats. After that, samples obtained from the urine, feces and mouth of bats were tested. Small bats were collected between May 2019 and November 2020. During research, we found that four viruses were similar to SARS-CoV-2. According to Chinese researchers, one of the viruses was genetically close to the SARS-CoV-2 virus, which is currently causing the Covid-19 pandemic.

“It may be the closest strain to SARS-CoV-2 except for a genetic difference on the spike protein,” he said. Researchers say that with the SARS-CoV-2 related virus collected from Thailand in June 2020, these results clearly indicate that viruses closely related to SARS-CoV-2 continue to be transmitted in bat populations, and some areas can be relatively high. According to the American organization Center for Disease and Control, changes occur due to continuous mutation in viruses, and new variants of a virus are expected. Sometimes new variants emerge and disappear. Other times, new variants persist.
