Explore Thailand Differently This June-September 2025

Thailand is set to experience a surge in local tourism with the launch of “Mueang Na Tiew: Year of Celebration”, a nationwide campaign aimed at promoting domestic travel during the upcoming Green Season (June–September 2025). With an emphasis on 55 charming secondary cities, the initiative invites travelers to explore new destinations through 12 carefully curated experiences that celebrate Thai culture, lifestyle, and diversity.

“Mueang Na Tiew: Year of Celebration” is designed to inspire a wide range of travelers—from digital nomads and solo adventurers to families, foodies, and LGBTQ+ couples. Each themed journey reflects the evolving travel preferences of Thai tourists and expats residing in Thailand, blending local stories with unique experiences and regional charm.

The 12 travel themes include peaceful getaways for busy professionals, adrenaline-filled adventures, content-ready scenic escapes, romantic retreats, and wellness journeys that encourage reconnection with nature. The campaign also supports solo female travelers and active seniors eager to tick off their travel bucket lists.

Food and culture take center stage with immersive culinary trails featuring regional Thai BBQ hotspots and local storytelling. Families are invited to enjoy meaningful trips, particularly around Mother’s Day, while pet owners can explore with their four-legged companions.

To encourage travel during the rainy season, the campaign rolls out exclusive promotions and travel perks:

  • Flights: Discounts of 15% from VietJet Air, up to 25% from Thai Lion Air, and bonus miles via Royal Orchid Holidays

  • Accommodation: Special deals on platforms like Gother, Patois, and up to 30% off select stays through the Electricity Generating Authority of Thailand (EGAT)

  • Transportation: Car rental promotions from AVIS, Chic Car Rent, and Pet Friendly Thailand

  • Tours: Discounted packages from Yacht Me, Love Andaman, and Local Alike

  • Lifestyle benefits: Cashback, discounts, and rewards from Bangkok Bank, UOB, KTC, Max Card, ShopBack, GRAB, Bar B Q Plaza, SE-ED Book Centre, Canon, and more

“This is more than a travel promotion – it’s a lifestyle celebration,” said Mr. Apichai Chatchalermkit, Deputy Governor for the Domestic Market. “It reflects how modern Thais want to travel: with meaning, flexibility, and inspiration.”

With a goal of attracting 250,000 travelers, reaching over 10 million people, and generating a minimum of 500 million Baht in direct revenue, the campaign is a cornerstone of Thailand’s broader plan to achieve 205 million domestic trips and 1.17 trillion Baht in tourism revenue by the end of 2025.

“Mueang Na Tiew: Year of Celebration” is your invitation to discover new sides of Thailand, reconnect with your passions, and take part in a movement that celebrates local travel like never before.
