Registration is now officially open for the 12th International Day of Yoga celebration in Bangkok, inviting residents and visitors alike to take part in a sunrise wellness gathering at Chulalongkorn University on June 21, 2026.

Set against one of Bangkok’s most iconic university landmarks, the event will be held on the lawn in front of the Royal Statues of King Chulalongkorn and King Vajiravudh, offering participants a peaceful morning dedicated to yoga, mindfulness, and healthy living.
A Morning of Wellness and Community
The event is scheduled from 6:00 AM to 7:30 AM and welcomes everyone—from first-time participants to experienced yoga practitioners.
Organizers will provide yoga mats, commemorative event T-shirts, and drinking water, allowing attendees to fully enjoy the community experience in a comfortable outdoor setting.
The annual gathering continues to grow in popularity in Thailand, reflecting increasing interest in holistic wellness and mindful living across the country.
Building on Last Year’s Milestone Celebration
Last year’s International Day of Yoga celebration at the same venue attracted more than 4,000 participants from diverse backgrounds, who gathered to perform yoga together under the global theme “Yoga for One Earth, One Health.”
The event also marked a significant milestone celebrating 10 years of International Day of Yoga activities, with more than 30 yoga-related events organized across Thailand in the lead-up to the main celebration.
Special guests included Mr. Chadchart Sittipunt, Governor of Bangkok and Dr. Wilert Puriwat, President of Chulalongkorn University, who highlighted yoga’s role in promoting physical wellbeing, emotional balance, and stronger cultural connections between Thailand and India.
Celebrating Yoga in the Heart of Bangkok
As Bangkok continues embracing wellness-focused events and outdoor community activities, the International Day of Yoga remains one of the city’s most anticipated annual gatherings.
Participants can look forward to a calm and energizing start to the day while connecting with fellow wellness enthusiasts in the heart of the Thai capital.
