Mae Hong Son, Thailand — Heavy rain from Storm Kajiki caused flash floods in Mae Hong Son this week, but quick action from local rescue teams helped keep people safe. Soldiers, park rangers, and community workers joined hands to help residents and travelers, showing real teamwork during a tough time.

Flooding in Northern Thailand
The strong rains made rivers and creeks overflow, sweeping away a truck and flooding parts of the Khun Yuam–Mae Hong Son highway. Some villages were cut off, and travel routes were blocked. Even so, rescue teams moved fast to clear roads and reach stranded families.

Brave Teams on the Ground
Army units and national park staff worked side by side to move people to safe areas, deliver supplies, and clean up debris. Their joint efforts showed how much can be done when different groups cooperate.
A local officer shared that this teamwork is proof of Mae Hong Son’s strong community spirit: “In times of crisis, we help each other.”

Hope for Locals and Travelers
The floods were challenging, but the quick response means Mae Hong Son is already recovering. Known for its mountain views, trekking spots, and peaceful atmosphere, the province remains a safe and welcoming place for visitors.
