Bangkok, Thailand — The Embassy of Denmark in Thailand, together with Danish embassies across ASEAN and the Friends of Thai Agriculture (FTA) network, co-hosted the Biomass Conference: “Putting Out the Fire: Advancing Solutions for Sustainable Post-Harvest Biomass Utilisation” on 23 September at True Digital Park, Bangkok. The event focused on turning agricultural residues into valuable resources, reducing open-field burning, and creating new opportunities for farmers and industry.
Thailand produces large volumes of crop residues, much of which is currently wasted or burned. The conference highlighted strategies to convert this biomass into renewable energy, fertilizers, animal feed, and sustainable materials. Experts also shared insights on how Danish technologies can support Thailand’s transition to a more sustainable and circular bioeconomy.
The event brings together government, industry, and international partners to explore practical solutions that benefit both the environment and the economy.
