Bangkok, Thailand – After two decades of honoring visionary designers, thinkers, and architects worldwide, the International Design Awards (IDA) proudly announces the 19th Annual IDA Awards Gala in Bangkok. Hosted at ICONSIAM, the event is held in strategic partnership with ICONSIAM and Bangkok Design Week 2026.

This landmark collaboration reinforces IDA’s longstanding mission to support and celebrate the creative excellence of designers, thinkers, and architects worldwide. IDA continues to serve as a premier international platform, driving innovation and fostering creative concepts that set new industry benchmarks. The global design event has traveled across major cities including Los Angeles, New York, Oslo, and Shanghai. By bringing this prestigious gala to Thailand, IDA highlights Bangkok’s pivotal role as a global hub for multidimensional design excellence, connecting some of the world’s most influential creative minds in the heart of the city.

The arrival of the International Design Awards (IDA), along with more than 300 distinguished guests and award winners from around the world, marks a significant milestone in elevating the Thai design industry to the global stage. This occasion provides a vital platform for the Thai creative community to showcase its potential, exchange visionary perspectives, and establish meaningful networks with world-class international designers.

The event is dedicated to fostering a space for inspiration and profound exchanges of artistic philosophies. By empowering Thai creative works to gain international recognition, this collaboration reinforces Bangkok’s position as a vibrant “Creative City” with strong global potential.

Beyond serving as a platform that honors creative visionaries who dare to think outside the box on a global scale, IDA acts as a powerful catalyst in expanding the possibilities of design. Each masterpiece reflects the values of its concept, aesthetics, and functionality — the very heart of IDA’s mission to support the future of the global creative industry in all its dimensions.

Beyond connecting design professionals from around the world, IDA is also dedicated to bridging knowledge from industry experts to those passionate about design through the IDA Design Talks & Symposium. This special event takes place one day before the Gala at The House on Sathorn, W Hotel, offering the public an opportunity to hear the stories behind the success of award winners.

The program features presentations across 15 topics, including in-depth knowledge sharing, insights into future design trends across multiple dimensions, and expert perspectives from IDA jury members and design luminaries with extensive industry experience.

To celebrate the boundless multiculturalism of art and design, more than 70 “Masterpiece” award-winning works from the International Design Awards (IDA) and the European Product Design Award (EPDA) 2025 will be showcased during Bangkok Design Week 2026. This serves as a concrete platform for exchanging creative perspectives and networking with international designers.

Following the showcase, the IDA × EPDA winners exhibition will travel to several cities worldwide through the House of Lucie network, including Budapest (Hungary), Athens (Greece), Kashan (Iran), and Ostuni (Italy). In Thailand, the exhibition will be hosted in Koh Samui.

The evening of the prestigious global award ceremony will also be graced by special guests from various international fields, including thought leaders, creators, executives, architects, and prominent figures from local and international art scenes. Attendees include Parisa Chatnilbandhu, Corporate Partnership Management at ICONSIAM; Chaiyong Ratana-Angkura, Chairman of the CEA; Jacqueline Mourot, Cultural and Education Attaché at the U.S. Embassy; H.E. Ms. Lise Lilian Ferrer Silva, Ambassador of the United Mexican States to Thailand; and Mr. Adam Coin, Economic Counsellor at the Australian Embassy in Thailand.
