Thailand and Iceland celebrated 50 years of diplomatic relations through the power of photography, culture, and travel at a special photo contest awards ceremony held in Bangkok.

The event recognized 13 winning images selected from more than 400 entries, highlighting the beauty, connection, and friendship between the two countries. The Grand Prize went to freelance travel photographer Nanut Bovorn for his striking photograph, “Ice Cave Snowstorm.”


Organized in collaboration with the Royal Photographic Society of Thailand and the Embassy of Iceland, the initiative showcased how tourism and visual storytelling continue to strengthen international ties beyond borders.

Guests also enjoyed a special talk on travel photography and tourism experiences between Thailand and Iceland, offering inspiration for photographers and travelers alike.
