After the completion of elections in West Bengal, as soon as the first session of the Legislative Assembly began today, the MLAs started a walkout from the House, raising slogans. As soon as Governor Jagdeep Dhankhar got up to read the address, there was a huge uproar between the BJP and TMC MLAs, after which the Governor left the house without reading the address. There was a meeting between Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee and Governor Dhankhar outside the House. During this, there was a conversation between the two for a while. Earlier, Governor Jagdeep Dhankhar has already made it clear that he will not speak all the things written by the government in the house.
According to information received from the sources, as soon as Governor Jagdeep Dhankhar got up for the address, the BJP MLAs started a ruckus. BJP MLAs came out of the house raising slogans of Jai Shri Ram inside the house. After that the governor also came out without an address.
According to the rules, the budget session of the Legislative Assembly begins with the address of the Governor. The State Government prepares this Address and the Governor reads it in the House. Usually, the address contains a blueprint of the achievements of the government’s work and the upcoming plans, but Governor Jagdeep Dhankhar has raised questions on the performance of the Mamta government on several occasions.
Significantly, after the defeat of the BJP in the Bengal elections, the disillusionment of many leaders has started from the party. Recently, BJP’s National Vice President Mukul Roy has returned home in TMC, since then the process of going from BJP to TMC continues. Mamta government is the target of opposition party BJP. At the same time, Mamata Banerjee also does not leave an opportunity to attack the BJP. In the past, CM Mamta Banerjee had called Governor Jagdeep Dhankhar as corrupt. On which the governor vehemently rejected all the allegations leveled against him. Governor Dhankhar had said that all the allegations are being made against him motivated by the spirit of politics.
During the elections in the state, workers of both the parties were killed in the violence between the BJP and the Trinamool Congress. The BJP is claiming the death of more than a hundred workers. On the other hand, Trinamool Congress leaders are accusing the BJP of instigating the riots. After the violence in Bengal in the past, a large number of people took shelter in camps in Assam and other states. Governor Dhankhar visited the camps in Assam and met the victims and assured all possible help. On the visit of the Governor, Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee raised the question and advised to maintain the dignity of the post. On which BJP also retaliated on Mamta.
