Delhi Covid Restrictions: Check New Guidelines

Markets in Delhi will open as per the earlier timings from Monday. Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal announced that due to corona infection, Delhi’s markets were allowed to open till seven o’clock. Now in view of the decreasing cases of corona, this restriction will be removed from Monday. He said that now the markets will be able to open according to their normal time.

Delhi CM Kejriwal tweeted, “So far due to Corona, Delhi’s markets were allowed to open till 8 pm. Due to decreasing cases, the deadline is being removed from Monday. Now the market will open as per its normal timing. Will be able to.”

No patient died of Covid-19 in the national capital on Saturday. This is the second consecutive day, when not a single patient died due to infection in the city. At the same time, 19 new cases of infection have been reported, which is the lowest since April 15 last year. According to information received from the data released by the city’s health department, this is the 12th day since the second wave of the pandering mic hit the national capital, when no person died of the infection in the city.

According to official data, no patient died of the infection on 18 July, 24 July, 29 July, 2 August, 4 August, 8 August, 11 August, 12 August, 13 August, 16 August and 20 August. No person died of the infection in the national capital on March 2 this year. On this day 217 new cases of infection were reported and the infection rate was 0.33 percent. In April-May, the capital was badly affected by the wave of the epidemic. According to the latest bulletin, 19 new cases of infection were reported on Saturday and the infection rate is 0.03 percent.

Earlier, The Chamber of Trade and Industry (CTI) on Saturday demanded that the closure of malls and markets in the national capital be extended from the current 8 am to 10 pm. In a letter to the Delhi Disaster Management Authority (DDMA), the CTI said the permission granted to open shops till 8 pm is insufficient for most retail markets, especially during the festive season. He said that he is getting suggestions from many markets including Kamla Nagar, Lajpat Nagar, Connaught Place, Sarojini Nagar, South Extension, Rajouri Garden, Laxmi Nagar, Rohini, Pitampura, Greater Kailash and Karol Bagh to extend the time. Along with this, the mall owners of Delhi have also requested that their open hours should also be extended, CTI President Brijesh Goyal said in a statement.
