Delhi Unlocks: Metro,Buses to Run at 100% Capacity

Unlock-8 is being implemented in Delhi from today amidst the decreasing cases of Corona. In this phase of unlock, theaters and spas which have been closed for more than 3 months have got a big relief. Under Unlock-8, permission has been given to open cinema halls and spas, but with conditions.

DMRC has also made it clear that only a limited number of passengers will be able to travel in metro trains, in view of this, additional gates of metro stations will not be opened yet and entry will be available from selected gates as before. There will definitely be such a relief that earlier, where only 250 to 300 passengers were able to travel in trains at a time, now 400 to 500 passengers will be able to travel together. This will definitely reduce the waiting time of the passengers.

A maximum of 100 people have now been allowed to attend the wedding ceremony. At the same time, the maximum number of people attending the funeral has been increased from 20 to 100.

Malls will also be able to open in Delhi from Monday. Malls have been allowed to open from 10 am to 8 pm. Cinema halls, theatres, multiplexes have also been allowed to start with 50 percent seating capacity. People will be able to sit only on half the seats in the cinema hall. Conditions have been set for this. People in these places will have to strictly follow the Corona guidelines. Two weeks ago, the DDMA had also given a green signal for the use of auditoriums and assembly halls in schools for educational training and meetings. Now all auditoriums and assembly halls can be opened with 50 percent capacity. Leaving one seat in the auditorium, people will be able to sit on one seat.

Delhi saw an unprecedented increase in infection cases and deaths during the second wave of coronavirus in April and May. However, there has been improvement in the last few weeks, after which the government is reopening the city in a phased manner. 66 new corona cases were reported in Delhi on Sunday while two people lost their lives.
