Chiang Mai’s Doi Inthanon National Park has reopened to visitors on Wednesday. Doi Inthanon is one of the most popular national parks in Thailand. It is famous for its waterfalls, few trails, remote villages, views, sunrise/sunset viewing, bird watching, and cool weather throughout the year at high altitudes.
The head of the national park, Kryangkrai Chapiset, also told about some rules related to travel.
- The number of visitors will be limited to 2,000 in a day and 50 on each approach, following Corona rules.
- All visitors have had at least one dose of the vaccine
- Visitors have to show RT PCR certificate 72 hours before entry.
- Passengers will have to book in advance through the “QQ” app to avail the opportunity of traveling to the peak by car. Because 70% of the trips are reserved for those who have booked in advance.
However, the number of daily visitors can be increased based on demand, which is expected to increase rapidly, especially in the weeks leading up to the New Year, when local tourists come to enjoy the misty mountains in Chiang Mai.
