However, Tropical Depression Dianmu has been downgraded to an active low pressure cell as it currently remains threatened over Khon Kaen Province. Irrigation officials warned people living in those areas to consider moving their property to higher places in the next few days.
In total, 39 provinces are expecting or experiencing strong winds, heavy rain and the potential for flooding. This weekend, residents of Bangkok as well as the provinces of North, Northeast, East and Central Thailand are being alerted for the weather.
The Thailand Meteorological Department has predicted rain in areas with heavy to very heavy rainfall as the monsoon trough crosses the east, central and northern regions of Thailand. In the southwest, the monsoon is expected to bring many storms over the Andaman Sea, the Gulf of Thailand and south of Thailand.
