The first Indo Thai Excellence Awards 2022 in the fields of social, health, education and business were conferred on 12 excellence achievers on 12 August 2022, in a glittering ceremony hosted by Indo Thai News in Bangkok. The awardees received their awards from the Chief Guest Dr Kumar Vishwas, the renowned poet from India at the at the Bangkok Marriott Marquis Queen’s Park Hotel. Later in the evening, Kavya Kumbh 2022, the gala Hindi poetry festival was held where Dr Kumar Vishwas, along with other renowned poets, mesmerized the audience with their poetry.
Giving his keynote address at the awards ceremony, Dr Kumar Vishwas said, “Whenever we go out of India to any other country, I always say, that even though we may have the official ambassador, we are all cultural ambassadors too.” Dr Vishwas congratulated Indo Thai News for building cultural bridges between India and Thailand.
“On this auspicious day of Thailand Mother’s Day, we are honouring those who have done excellent work in society in their respective fields. This is our way of showing respect to them,” said Pawan Mishra, CEO, Indo Thai News in his welcome address.

- Business
Mr. Deepak Sajnani, Mrs. Somsong Sachaphimukh and Mr. Mahesh Singh were awarded for their work in the Social field. Dr. Davin Narula, Dr. Kanwar Singh and Mr. Saurabh Garg received awards for their work in the Health sector. In the field of Education, the awards were conferred on Dr. Chirapat Prapandvidya, Dr. Nitin Kumar Tripathi and Mr. Rajesh Singh. In the field of Business, awards were given to Mr. Aswin Phlaphongphanich (Dee Money), Mr. Amit Lal Singh (Adi Resourcing) and Mr. Samir Tripathi.
To bring to the new generation the richness of the Hindi language and help Indians in Thailand connect with their roots, the Kavya Kumbh 2022 featured noted poets Kavita Tiwari, Surendra Yadavendra, Ramesh Muskan, Hemant Pandey and Swayam Srivastava. The packed audience enjoyed the poetry recitals in the vibrant literary atmosphere. The event was organised to coincide with the Indian festivals of Rakshabandhan (12th August) and Indian Independence Day (15th August).
