Now stone pelters in India will not be able to get passport and government job in Jammu and Kashmir (J&K). The CID unit of the police has ordered all those involved in stone-pelting or dangerous activities not to give passports and security no-objection letters required for Indian government jobs.
The order was issued by the Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) of CID’s Special Branch in Kashmir. It has said that during the verification for passport and government jobs or other government schemes by Indian government, the person’s involvement in law and order violation, stone pelting cases and other criminal activities against the security forces in the state should be specially investigated.
“Such cases should be reconciled with the records available with the local police station,” the order said. , photographs, videos and audio clips should also be taken into account. “If any person is found involved in such cases, security clearance should be denied to him,” said the SSP, Special Branch of Kashmir CID.
BJP has welcomed this decision of Jammu and Kashmir Police. Bharatiya Janata Party’s Jammu and Kashmir unit president Ravinder Raina said that not granting security clearance for passports and government services is a welcome step by the administration of the Union Territory.
Raina said that this is a big step and it is a big blow to those who conspired against the country and then fled abroad to escape responsibility. Raina said there are some “anti-national forces” in Jammu and Kashmir who are supporters of terrorism and Pakistan.
Raina said, “They use passports to flee the country and also manage to get government jobs in various government organizations and contracts for development projects. As per the new order, they will not get security clearance which is a good step and it will prove to be a big setback for such elements. The Home Department of Jammu and Kashmir, Police and Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha deserve praise.
