Pakistan has decided to allow Sikh pilgrims to visit Gurdwara Darbar Sahib Kartarpur. This decision has been taken at a time when the neighboring country is battling Coronavirus and is taking steps to stop it. The Imran Khan government of Pakistan has taken a big decision for the Sikh pilgrims. From next month, Pakistan will allow pilgrims who have taken both doses of the coronavirus vaccine to visit Gurdwara Darbar Sahib Kartarpur.
The decision to open the Kartarpur Gurdwara was taken by the National Command and Operation Center (NCOC) on Saturday. Let us tell you that September 22 is the death anniversary of Guru Nanak Dev, the founder of the Sikh sect.
In the meeting of NCOC, it was decided that following the rules of prevention from Kovid-19, Sikh pilgrims will be allowed to visit Kartarpur from next month. Significantly, due to the delta type of corona virus, India was placed in ‘C’ category from 22 May to 12 August and people coming from there needed special clearance.
Now, people have been allowed to enter Pakistan by showing the certificate of both the doses of the vaccine and the report of the RT-PCR test done within the last 72 hours. Apart from this, rapid antigen testing will also be done at airports. If someone is found infected with the corona virus, then that traveler will not be allowed to enter Pakistan.
A maximum of 300 people are allowed to gather together in the Darbar Sahib. According to the data released by the Ministry of National Health Services of Pakistan, 3,842 new cases of corona virus infection have been reported in the last 24 hours, after which the total cases increased to 11,23,812.
The Kartarpur Sahib Gurdwara, originally known as Gurdwara Darbar Sahib, is a major Sikh shrine where Guru Nanak Dev spent the last years of his life.[1] At this place Guru Nanak spent 16 years.
