Bangkok, Thailand – In a landmark diplomatic event, The Right Honourable K P Sharma Oli, Prime Minister of Nepal, embarked on an official visit to the Kingdom of Thailand from April 1 to April 5, 2025. This visit holds historical significance as it is the first official visit by a Nepali Prime Minister since the establishment of diplomatic relations between the two nations on November 30, 1959—marking 66 years of formal ties.
Strengthening Bilateral Relations
On April 2, 2025, Prime Minister Paetongtarn Shinawatra extended a warm welcome to Prime Minister Oli at the Government House in Bangkok. The two leaders engaged in high-level discussions covering trade and investment, connectivity, agriculture and agri-tech, tourism, culture, people-to-people relations, and development cooperation. Regional and global issues of concern were also addressed, reflecting the shared commitment of both nations to international stability and progress.
Signing of Eight Bilateral Agreements
