Singapore has also extended a helping hand to Thailand. Singapore AstraZeneca is sending 122,400 doses of the COVID-19 vaccine to Thailand on Saturday.
According to this one deal, Thailand will return to Singapore when the vaccines are readily available. The government also has a similar agreement with Bhutan, which has shipped 150,000 AstraZeneca doses to Thailand.
Foreign Ministry spokesperson Tani Sangrat has confirmed this. In this deal, Singapore is also sending a shipment of 200,000 antigen test kits and 500,000 nasopharyngeal swabs.
Meanwhile, the Minister of Public Health has said that the Pfizer vaccine is safe for children between the ages of 12 and 17. He was responding to concerns about reports of rare adverse side effects from Thai parents.

The Thai Food and Drug Administration says it is waiting for the manufacturer to send additional information before deciding on Pfizer’s use in children under 12. Should the vaccine be approved, the health ministry plans to expedite procurement.
The Centre for Covid-19 Situation Administration reported 131 coronavirus-related deaths and 13,256 new Covid-19 cases today. In the 24-hour period since the last count, the CCSA recorded 13,829 recoveries. There are now 128,367 patients being treated for Covid-19.
