Bhojpuri Artists Enthrall the Audience with Mesmerizing Performances
The vibrant energy of Sharadiya Navratri lit up Vishnu Mandir in Bangkok as Bhojpuri artists delivered electrifying performances, bringing the joy and spirit of the festival to life.
Running from October 3rd to 12th, 2024, the Hindu Dharma Sabha Vishnu Mandir has once again become a cultural and spiritual hub for the Indian expatriate community and locals alike, celebrating the festival with great enthusiasm.
As is tradition, the temple invited talented Bhojpuri artists from India to perform devotional songs dedicated to Goddess Durga. Among the star performers was the renowned singer Dr. Amlesh Shukla, accompanied by Ms. Aastha Shukla from Varanasi.
Their soulful renditions captivated the crowd, with Dr. Shukla’s melodious voice setting the tone for the evening. The temple grounds echoed with devotional music, bringing worshippers together in celebration of Navratri.
Adding to the festive fervor were spectacular performances by Ms. Nisha Upadhyay, a super actress, and Mr. Bullet Baba from Bihar. Their energetic performances turned the temple into a vibrant stage where the audience couldn’t resist dancing to the beats of traditional Devi songs.
Mr. Sugam Singh, a rising star from Deoria district, also left his mark with a powerful performance that had the crowd cheering.
This year’s celebrations were made even more special with the presence of distinguished Indian individuals from the community, including Mr. Pawan Mishra, founder of Indo Thai News and team, who was invited to cover the event.
The grand Navratri event at Vishnu Mandir is an annual highlight for the Indian diaspora in Thailand. It brings together people from all walks of life to celebrate their cultural roots while living abroad. Thousands of devotees attended the event, enjoying not only the music but the deep connection to their heritage. The performances were a beautiful homage to Indian culture, blending devotion with entertainment.
The Hindu Dharma Sabha, led by Mr. Vinod Singh, along with its dedicated executive members, deserves special recognition for their efforts in organizing this magnificent event. Despite being miles away from their homeland, they have preserved India’s rich traditions and spiritual values, offering the community a chance to stay connected to their culture.
In a statement provided by Mr. Jimmy Mishra, a prominent figure in Thailand’s Indian community, he expressed deep gratitude for the temple’s ongoing efforts to keep cultural traditions alive. “It’s heartwarming to see how, despite being so far from India, our civilization and Sanskriti remain intact. Vishnu Mandir continues to be a beacon of Indian culture in Thailand,” he said.
With the event continuing until October 12th, the remaining days promise even more spectacular performances and devotion, as the festival culminates in the worship of Goddess Durga. Vishnu Mandir invites everyone to participate in the festivities, offering a chance to be part of this vibrant celebration of devotion, music, and dance.
