The Maharashtra government late Tuesday transferred 86 officers, including 65 policemen from Mumbai Crime Branch. This is the biggest reshuffle in the state’s police department after the transfer of Mumbai Police Commissioner Parambir Singh. Earlier in the evening, Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray had a meeting with top officials of the state at his government residence. A few hours later, Home Minister Anil Deshmukh also came to meet the CM. Only after these two meetings has this change been made in the police department. The NIA is questioning the suspended API Sachin Waze of the Mumbai Police in the same case following the alleged suicide of Mansukh Hiren, the owner of the SUV recovered in the Antilia case. Amidst doubts over me, new revelations are happening in this case every day. Meanwhile, another woman IPS officer and Intelligence Commissioner Rashmi Shukla of the state had made a big disclosure about the transfer of police officers in Maharashtra. He had told in his report that the brokers are active in the Maharashtra Police Department, who run the transfer racket. Today on the matter, Leader of the Opposition Devendra Fadnavis had called a press conference in the morning and in the evening went to Delhi and also met the Union Home Secretary.
